FAQ'S

Why is it difficult to find pairs of bedside cabinets?

Before the implementation of electricity, lighting was by overhead gas light or oil lamp. Reading was generally done before retiring for the night as falling asleep while reading by oil lamp could have disastrous results. Without a bedside light, clock radio or book there was little need for a bedside cabinet.

Why are your lights done mainly in antique brass finish?

The formulation for brass  has changed over time. This change in formulation has meant that new brass is brighter and more gold in colour than old brass. Also all new brass has a coating of lacquer on it whereas old brass had no lacquer and so would gradually darken. Our finish replicates that old brass look but with a coating of lacquer over it.
